Bank charges deducted when being paid by customer

Featured Replies

Is it just me, or is this normal international business practice?

Whenever a customer here in Thailand pays their account via bank transfer, they always deduct the bank transfer fee from the amount that they send me.

I Never did this when running my business in the UK.

I expect they're ticking the 'all fees to the recipient' box rather than actually deducting the fee :(

I've seen that option is available when sending money overseas but never seen it in the "transfers to other Thai banks" section on my Ayudhya/Krungsri online banking site.
