Nothing To Do This Weekend?

For those who have nothing to do this weekend or today - next, try lake fishing in Bangkok! I don’t wanne make publicity but check out there site:

The name of the fishing park is bungsamran fishing park!

http://geocities.com/bungsamran/introduction.html

It’s something different, even if you have never fished before and know nothing about fishing (girls!!!), here you will catch big fish, and have a good time, you can see and feed the 250 kg fish at the entrée, when I go fishing I always catch at least 5 10kg ones, ones I got more then 20, and I’m not a specialist!

They have fishing parks in Thailand everywhere, good one in Pattaya is Jomtien Fishing Park

http://www.geocities.com/zoomfishing/JomtienFishingPark.html

smaller then the one in Bangkok but you can catch 10 / 20 kg fish, they have bigger ones but I have never seen them!

The best place to fish in Thailand is the Mekong river, but maybe somebody else knows more, I have never fished there!

Good fishing, jimmy!

This might be ok. Can you hire equipment there? Is it a big lake?

Yes and yes

Bof, how much?, euhh, BKK is like 2000 bht for a day?, renting a rod (500), fishing (500), bait (200), tip (100 bht tip for one of the boys so you catch bigger fish!),

Pattaya not more then a 1000

Anyway, clic on the link, it’s all marked not?

Yes, Lacoste, lots of things are more expensive for us, I think the Thai fish for free, maybe they have to pay for a fishing rod and bait,

that’s how it is!

(Not a bad system, we should do the same thing here in Europe for al those foreigners, I think we can learn a lot from the Thais, but I don’t want to get into European (disastered) politics!)

But, do you care to pay a bit more? You make more money then a Thai, no?

why would anyone elect to stand in the hot sun to catch mushy, boney and tasteless freshwater fish when one could simply purchase a nice piece of salmon or tuna down Foodland and grill it in A/C comfort and etc, etc...

'goin' fishin' ' was always a euphanism for getting pissed...

Been to this lake a few times now

If you go make sure your arms are strong as you get a bite every 30 mins all day long as there are loads of huge fish in that lake. There is also a mutha of an arapainya in there which my boss was lucky enough to hook

Had a good time but was knackered by lunchtime

Yes, some people drink and get pissed (not many) tutsi, most people fish there because it’s a nice day out, it’s nice and quiet there, the restaurant is not bad, and most people throw the fish back!

And, like Ian said, it’s a good work out!

Try it!

Sounds good, I'll mosy over, there's a load of fishing parks along the inner stretches of the eastern ring road, no dual pricing there either!!!

Good terdsak 12, let us know: when, where, how, what, how much, food, drinks, etc!

and have a nice day fishing!

whaddytellya?...a thai visa piss up at the fishing pond was the next inexorable step (buncha drunk falangs fallin' over tryin' ta smack each other with dead fish...)

ranks right up there with the golf forum...'ahem...wonderful courses in Thailand you know' (read: ' let's go fishin' for a wholesum day out...')

both absurd pretexts smell fishy... :o

So what do you do on Saturday and Sunday? and if you don’t work here, “everyday”?

sorry jimmy...didn't mean to offend...

to answer your question...lessee, not much...I usually work a 5 1/2 day week so there ain't much time for much else than doin' the grocery shopping, watching tv and drinking too much...

so, yeah, I ain't got much to suggest...an' that being the case I ought to shut up...an',...oh boo hoo hooo, sniff...now you've hurt my feelings...

And I always thought that it’s a tough world out there!

(That reminds me of a song some years ago: when the going gets tough, the tough get going!)

Euhhh, why don’t you go fishing or play golf with some friends, maybe a good therapy?

I've also stood in rain, sleet, snow when fishing, I dunno. Started when I was 5, on my own, I'd escape from the cottage at 6 a.m. put on my life jacket, hop in the canoe. My best experiences were up in Canada's great north, not a soul around.

By the way, I don't like fish or seafood (except for shrimp). I always release the catch or give it away to neghtbours.

OK OK, places like Canada, Alaska, lakes in England and Ireland, etc . . . , those are dream places to fish, but we are (almost) in the middle of Bangkok, catching 20 kg and bigger fish in the middle of a big city . . .

Any way, I like the place, and even if you don’t know how to fish you will catch something, and it’s a nice day out!
