Friendship Bridge Vientianne VOA hours

Travelling to Vientianne hopefully next Sunday (August 3rd) which is last day of my TV.

Plan to drive car to the Friendship Bridge border, leave the car and carry on.

What is the latest time I will be able to get there (Sunday) and still be able to get a Visa on Arrival on the Laos side.

Is there a convenient spot to leave car there and will there be onward transport option to cross as I think there is no foot traffic?

The Lao visa on arrival office is open until 10 PM but it is best to be on the Thai side by 9 pm or so,

There is secure parking at the bus station at the intersection just before the bridge. It is on the right side if you are coming from Udon.

You can then get the shuttle bus to the bridge frrm there.
