I know the requirements will probably vary from office to office, but generally,or even better, specifically at Jomtien ...

I got a new passport last week. Had all the stamps transferred into the new passport indicating the date of my original O-A visa, my last arrival in 2007 and my current extension to 2015.

When it comes time for my next extension of stay based on retirement will I still need to provide photocopies of the actual visa and all the previous extension stamps from the old passport, along with the new passport ID, stamps and last departure card? Or can I forget about anything in the old passport and just make photocopies of things shown in the new passport?

You will only need copies of your new passport.

I got a new passport last year just before my extension was due and went in to do everything in one trip. I attached copies of my old passport to the extension application. When they finished doing the stamp transfer they made copies of the new passport, trashed all the copies of the my old passport and attached copies of the new one.

OK. Thanks. I assumed that would be the case, but good to hear that your experience confirms it.
