I broke a quarter of a molar off the other day. It already had a filling that goes back a long while. As opposed to going to my own dentist, which would have been cheaper, I went to the Dental Clinic at Ram (could have gone to Lanna, also), because they accept direct payment from my insurance company www.hcc.com.

I get to the lobby of the dental clinic, I then put their CSR on the phone with my insurance company via their toll free number. About 10 minutes later, the hospital received a "GOP" (guarantee of payment) from HCC. I was in the chair for about 40 minutes. Great dentist, but their prices are high for CNX. Bill was 4526 THB, I had to visit the cashier, and sign a few things, and was out of there; zero out of pocket. I bought this policy online, from here, where I've been on a long-stay visa since February. The policy had only been in effect 25 days. Almost needed a straw, but managed to slurp down a 4 large leo for 210, with great live music, on my way home from Ram.

Did they pay up for the Leo, or are you out of pocket?

If I had gotten to the bar before 8, it would have been 5 large leo for 199. They did comp me a plate of french fries.
