Heavy rains cause land slides in Tak

Four houses were destroyed but no injuries and casualties were reported after a vast area in Tak’s Pob Pra (พบพระ) district caved in.

The collapse caused a hole of about 40 metres wide and two metres deep. Heavy downpours which have continued for several days were the likely cause of the land subsidence.

The district has evacuated residents to safe areas and warned nearby villages and schools to prepare for possible flooding and mudslide.
