Buddha-issara’s petition rejected

7-29-2014-11-49-51-AM-wpcf_728x413.jpg

BANGKOK: -- The Appeals Court today rejected a petition by Luang Poo Buddha-issara calling for the withdrawal of an arrest warrant issued by the Criminal Court on charge of obstructing election on January 26 this year.

The activist abbot of Wat Ornoi temple in Nakhon Pathom did not appear at the court to hear his appeal decision but assigned his lawyer to the court instead.

He was charged by the police of Thung Song Hong station in Bangkok for obstructing election when he led anti-government protesters to encircle Lak Si district office on January 26 this year.

The Appeals Court reasoned that the issuance of arrest warrant was under the jurisdiction of the Criminal Court (court of first instance) in case of emergency.

It also said that if the obstruction was proved later to have incurred damages, compensation could then be demanded later by the police. The court then retained the arrest warrant for the abbot.

The abbot still has another effective warrant for his arrest on insurrection charge.

Criminal Court refuses to cancel arrest warrant against Phra Buddha Issara

BANGKOK: -- A Criminal Court on Tuesday rejected a request to revoke an arrest warrant on obstruction of an election against Phra Buddha Issara, a senior monk that supervised anti-Yingluck-government protest.

His lawyer said the monk is now at a temple in Nakhon Pathom and he did not know if his client will surrender.

great news that the fake monk will be held to account for his bullying

Yes so you see there is no bias in the courts.

lol let's see but whatever happens you must be the only person in Thailand who thinks this. If the Army produce FAIR and UNBIASED Courts I will take my hat off to them

At lease he showed up in court...oops, no he didn't. Well at lkeast he respects the rule of law...um, no, he lawyer is even unsure if he will tuen himself in.

He pulled a maneuver only Yingy was supposed to favor...

No one who reads more than TVF is surprised.

The yellow bellied sap suckers wil stay mostly quiet on this one, like every other event they want to ignore.

The red lovers are rather reserved in their bites about this one.

Yellows just cant control themselves...oh, the drama, the righteous indignation....

Insert puke here.

Its sad to see the bitter hatred that comes through in the posts of the supporters of the corrupt PT Govt,

But I suppose they have nothing else against someone who has come out to lead the people, someone who has outmaneuvered and outthought all those against him.

Someone who in spite of all the bullets and grenades fired against him and those he led has had the courage to stay out on the streets with the people.

In spite of attacks against his temple with bullets and bombs : http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/gunmen-sprayed-luang-poo-buddha-isaras-residence-m-16s/ http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/eod-police-destroy-home-made-bomb-luang-poos-temple/.

And the attack on his Temple by the good Buddhist reds when they burnt down the monks accommodation, rode round on there motorbikes shooting and sprayed feces on the temple gates, I wont look back for links to that but it was posted on here with photos at the time.

I note no investigation was ever carried out into these atrocities. That investigation I hope is still to come.

This contempt for someone they know nothing about other than that he bested the great thinker.

They have no idea even that he is an abbot, no idea of the work he has done with terminal cancer patients, the special facility he is building to house them.

Neither have they any idea of the historical significance of the place of monks in Thai warfare, that in the past monks have always been in the forefront of the conflicts between Thailand, (Siam) and her enemies.

No, they have no idea that he was only carrying on a longstanding tradition.

They don't even appear to know what happened at the shin owned hotel.

That the booking was made on behalf of the farmers reps who were coming to town to lobby the Govt for payment for pledged rice and when the hotel management found it was farmers that had booked their rooms they refused to honor the booking.

Couldn't have smelly farmers with dirt under their nails disturbing their hi-so guests.

Buddha-Issara took up their cause and marched to the hotel demanding they either honor the booking or pay compensation, the hotel paid, and where did the money go ? To the farmers, but the reds wont believe that because it doesn't suit a good red rant.

Well give the scumbag the V.C

He broke the law, if he demonstrated legaly then it would be different. Don't applaud and award those who bare their naked buttocks at the law.

A nice thought, but we'll see just how bias or not the courts are once Suthep is charged arrested tried and found guilty of the very same crime, as he very publicly and on multiple occasions called on people to oppose voting and election,

Really that's your answer? Your cronies are worse than our cronies, (Opp's savior's) The rebuttal of a ... year old, underwhelming.

There's another person currently hiding under a monk's robe that has done the very same thing as this monk has.

It doesn't matter if your red, yellow, or pink with spots, You block people from voting and election you break the law, Not to difficult now is it.

Are you one of the guys, just like prbkk, that claimed earlier that the monk was responsible for all the violence surrounding the protests?

Must be because i never see you on threats concerning the capture of red shirts (after Yingluck, Chalerm and Tharit where kicked out) in relation to grenade throwing etc. .

Rather than regurgitating the same crap about Thaksin and the PTP, I would suggest the "yellows" educate themselves about the real reasons behind the protests and coup. An excellent starting place is the Indo-Pacific Review website which covers the whole SE Asia region. It may just open some of your eyes.
