Pattaya drug dealing suspects arrested by Police and District Officials

PATTAYA:--On Wednesday morning at Banglamung Police Station a join press conference with the Banglamung District Narcotics Unit took place to confirm the arrest of 3 people who are believed to work for prison inmates as drug dealers.

Khun Woramet aged 27 was arrested at the Pattaya Reunreung Village in Soi Kaotalo earlier on Wednesday with 1.1kg of the class 1 drug Crystal Methamphetamine, commonly known as “Ice”. He was caught with 50g on his person and a search of his house uncovered a large bag containing over 1kg of the drug. He later revealed that he was paid 40,000 Baht per month by an inmate at the Chonburi Central Prison to sell drugs on his behalf.

Khun Gamon aged 39 and Khun Munchalee aged 26 were caught with 6g of “Ice” and 165 Yabba Tablets at their Pattaya Hill Village home in Soi Kao Noi. They also worked for an inmate at Chonburi Central Prison and would send the proceeds of drug sales to his bank account.
