7-11 stamps

So, this morning I popped into my local 7-11 for a packet of chocolate covered donkey shins only to be told that these have not been invented as of yet and as such they unfortunately did not have any on their shelves.

However, on the way out I had to walk past the semi-refrigerated cabinet (you know, the one that has those inedible microwave chicken burgers in teriyaki BBQ sauce and rice burgers).

Anyhoo, on the shelves was a sample pack of Bavarian Ant Cheese, which I quickly snapped up.

I asked for more, as my dear old friend Neverdie has been after sourcing some of the delightful Mange Tout but I was informed that this was the only pack ever made and I was to be the world’s Guinea Pig for this fermented treat.

So I paid and then went on my merry way.

Later, while sat on the steps of the nearby footbridge, enjoying watching the local kids sniffing glue, a beggar walked past and asked for a donation.

I gave the beggar all of the change that I had in my pocket and also a packet of Polo mints that was willed to me by my Grandfather in 1972.

I then noticed that the sneaky bustards at the 7-11 had slipped a stamp in with my change.

At first I was flummoxed.

What do I do with one stamp?

Do I go back to the 7-11 and buy more goods so I can increase my stamp collection? (quickly ruled this one out as they have no more Bavarian Ant Cheese).

Do I throw it away and carry around a guilt trip because of the starving millions in the world.

Do I cash it in at the 7-11 (not deemed appropriate because of my haughty position within the community)?

Oh, what do I do?

Then, as if I was hit on the head by a lightening bolt, the answer came to me.

I remember reading a thread where a TVF member had a problem with not receiving his stamps from the 7-11.

I will donate my stamps to the good members of TVF.

Therefore, attached is my stamp.

I would suggest to the other members of TVF who receive but do not utilize their 7-11 stamps follow suit.

Scan those unused stamps and attach them to this thread, so the less fortunate TVF members (those that did not get their deserved stamps for 7-11) can put these towards their groceries and save their hard earned pennies.

Sometimes I am just too charitable for my own good.

yea, he was a little OTT about the stamps.

but i will say, on at least 3 different occasions while being

the worst for wear i have been given the change form 100 baht

after handing in 1,000, when i would check the change.

I would look at the server smile and laugh.

then they would laugh and give me my correct change

i hope your not going to give me lashing for this tongue.png

Regards

Charlie42, of course not, lashings are for rum.

So, you are the one that got the last pack of ant cheese from 7/11.

Should have waken up earlier, and rush to 7/11, as promised to the President of TGAU, the right honourable Sir ND.

You deprived me of the pleasure to taste this exquisite delicatessen and for what?

Just for you to get this rotten stamp that you are not even willing to keep and treasure.

Don't be so charitable and offer others the precious stamp.

I want it.

How am I going to get these rare tappers now?

Have a suggestion, I will exchange your stamp with a piece of Greek badger cheese.

Fair enough?

Tony, an excellent idea I think, I have lots of these 7/11 stamps from my purchases of snack pack Bulga Caviar, and mini bottles of Bolly, and cuban cigars, (I only shop at the Hi So 7/11's, you understand)

I will gladly donate my 7/11 stamps to TV's less fortunate members.

Thank you for your service and the charitable endeavours you are undertaking, I salute you...

Thank you Mr Soutpeel.

I will be obliged to you for the rest of my life.

PS. Please post by registered mail, don't want them to get lost.

Costas my dear old Bubble, me thinks that you do not understand the reason and function of this thread.

I no longer have the stamp as it is now floating about in Cyberspace.

To retrieve this stamp all you have to do is print it off.

The whole idea of this thread is to create a 7-11 stamp repository, which would work in a similar fashion to Bitcoins.

Sort of like a world stamp bank.

Unfortunately with you being Greek, we would be unable to employ you in this bank.

I am not saying that you would be a bad choice but it would be very difficult to gain the trust of the other TVF members given the current repute of Greek bankers.

I think this is a very philanthropic move Tony, and will ease the suffering of scratchers everywhere. I will gladly donate any future 7-11 stamps on my return.

Keep up the good work in helping members, although I think Costas is beyond help. :-)

Being a respectable Greek wbanker, I don't want to be employed by your bank.

However, I have my suspicions that this is not the right bank.

Mr ND, should we try to deliver some Ant Chees to Khon Kane, for Mr Costas. I'm willing to take a road trip next month, as long as Costas settles my hotel bill for three nights at The Pullman.

I will donate my stamp collection as well, I must tell I have 50 km to my 7/11. It´s tough to live in the sticks.
