If it was not for the fact that this guy actually got canned this would be funny.  Next time you think Thai schools are a little strange with their rules remember this.

Homophones, as any English grammarian can tell you, are words that sound the same but have different meanings and often different spellings — such as be and bee, through and threw, which and witch, their and there.

This concept is taught early on to foreign students learning English because it can be confusing to someone whose native language does not have that feature.

But when the social-media specialist for a private Provo-based English language learning center wrote a blog explaining homophones, he was let go for creating the perception that the school promoted a gay agenda.

At least he had a small private win, in that the whole world knows his ex-boss acted liked an uneducated idiot.

Especially any student worth his salt, that didn't know the word, would have gone straight to his Dictionary/Thesaurus first up...

... and then tried to find a different college that has a competent leadership

Lets see.  What should I say here.

The person fired has spent several years in Thailand.

Lets just say he has been fired many, many times over his lifetime.

My guess is he tried a bit too hard to be cute using the "homo" prefix.  In fact I would bet on it.
