Middle East Macron's Bold Move: France to Recognise Palestinian State
@Chris.C Are you insinuating Jews as an organized group had something to do with starting the wars that occurred on the European continent prior to 1948? And how did the founding of the state of Israel in 1948 have anything to do with post-WWII peace in Europe? Are you suggesting the deaths of six million Jews between 1939 and 1945 as well as the emigration of a few hundred thousand Holocaust survivors to Israel somehow kept Europe peaceful? Of course the existence of Israel as the homeland of the world's Jews led to wars and conflict in the Middle East because Arab nations and Palestinian groups attempted to destroy it. But since Biblical times, the Middle East in general and historical Palestine in particular have never been peaceful places. The notion that a Jewish conspiracy controls or unduly influences world events is merely an updating of centuries-old anti-Jewish tropes. Article 22 of the Hamas Covenant gets quite wild. Not only are Jews blamed for starting all wars, including WWI and WWII, but Jews have formed "secret societies" like "Freemasons, Rotary Clubs, the Lions and others" to achieve "Zionist interests. " In Article 32, the Covenant states, "Their plan is embodied in the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying. " When I read posts on AN that express the same belief in Jewish conspiracies, I want to laugh, but I guess I should cry. -

And how dies he get there with ALL his security and do they stay there for free? Walk? Not a chance. He will use Air Force 1 and the bill for the security plus the cost of Air Force 1 will be paid for at the US taxpayers expense. I expect that the UK security will be paid for by the UK tax payers, though really it should be stuck on his bill, especially as it is NOT official government business, though I have no doubt that he will claim that it is. The cost of a transatlantic video call is much much cheaper, especially as tax payers will be footing the bill? Now how much is THAT reducing the deficit by? Moron. -
