Finished teaching and want to stay in Thailand after non-immigrant B cut?

Featured Replies

I have been living in Chiang Mai since June 2013 on a non-immigrant B visa and work permit teaching English in a private school. I quit work on August 15th and my school told me my visa will end on Monday 18th. I have a flight booked to Europe (have irish passport) for September 10th and want to spend some holiday time here before I leave. What is the cheapest way to stay in Thailand for about 25 days after the work visa ends?

You could do a border run and get 15 day visa exempt entry and then the new 30 day extension (1900 baht)  after the 29th of  August.

Or fly out and back and get a 30 day entry.

I closed another topic you posted that has the same question asked.
