Aonang beach restaurants removed!

Featured Replies

Went to the beach yesterday morning and was surprised to see all the beach parts of the restaurants removed by workers(not the army) is it the beginning of the Krabi clean up as phuket is now?

They are not being removed, they only have to give back a few meters of their terraces they encroached on the beach in the course of the years.

Yes, been there yesterday afternoon, been told the army came a couple of days ago. This part of the beach is a bit messy now(concrete blocks, poles...) still ok, though, when the sun lies down.

I wonder how long it is going to be before they arrive here on Koh Tao and start ripping things down. I never thought there was that much encroachment the last time I was there but that was a while ago.
