Is it currently 30 or 15 days visa exempt at land borders?

Featured Replies

Just spoke to a Sweedish guy, came last wek from Laos to Nong Khai, says he only got 15 days.? Thought  was back to 30 day visa exempt for Sweedish and UK citizens ( UK myself)? Tought would do check, got 2 conflicting websitesblink.png   FWIW  I got 30 days exempt when I came from Cambodia mid June this year on way to Swampy . If the first link is not correct, YTF don't they delete or update the updates as it says todays date in box above!

Which one of these is up to date and correct,?

30 days for G7 countries

30 days for G7 countries

Otherwise 15 days. As a UK citizen you will get 30 days

Citizens of some countries get 90 days!

Thanks so far! So this website with todays date and most links in it are not up to date and should be disregarded?

I would not trust anything on that website. It is a commercial website created by a law firm.

Here is the topic that confirmed the the 30 days at borders. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/679721-good-news-for-holders-of-uk-usa-japan-germany-france-canada-and-italy/?hl=%2Bgood

Question: Next month, if someone comes in through a land border and gets a 15-day stamp, can they then go to Immigration and get a 30-day extension? Seems odd if true.

Any visa exempt entry can be extended for 30 days starting on the 29th of this month.
I think they started doing them so that people don't need to get a new entry if they need to stay longer than planned.
