Where can i buy wide shoes in Bangkok?

I am trying to find US size 9 1/2 W , 9 1/2 E or 9 1/2 2E walking shoes. I went to a bunch of malls such as Central World, Robinsons, Central, MBK, etc. When I tell them I need 9 1/2 Wide they bring out 91/2 but not wide and when I say I need wide like the pair I am wearing. they say they don't have and to try on another style it looks a little wider. Did anyone buy wide shoes and have any info. on where I can find them? Hopefully close to BTS or MRT. I already checked conversion charts and tried on the 43 and 44 sizes but not wide enough. Thank You.

The New Balance shops often carry a fairly decent selection of casual shoes in 2E widths. Sadly, I require 4E, but a friend of mine who comes to Thailand 3x/year will bring a pair with him if I ask.

You and I have the same feet. I agree, they must be ordered from the states.

There are a couple of booteries along Sukhumvit. One is close to Asoke BTS and another is close to Nana BTS that will make you a pair two.

From Asoke stay on the even numbered soi side and walk towards Nana and from Nana stay on the same side and walk towards Asoke.

From experience, I've found them less than honest.

I asked them to make a pair of shoes from photos I took to show them. Agreed a price, and they measured me up, and left a large % deposit.

Came back a few days later, and they weren't anywhere near as good as the photos, or, for that matter, shoes on their racks. At this point I asked them to re-make them or give me back my money. They told me, either give them the rest of the balance or eff off.

I tried to get wide shoes made at the various boot makers on Sukumvit. They all nodded and smiled, but when the shoes came, they weren't wide at all. Wasted a lot of time trying to get that. The other problem was that they used cheap leather which didn't stretch.

You can buy Vivo Barefoot shoes at various stores, some models are very wide fitting.

Good luck

They will need the last to make a 2E or 4E.

My guess is they don't invest in one as there are not a lot of customers wanting 4E

So, in typical Thai style they will say no problem.

Order from NB or find some on Ebay.

I bought 2 pair of Clarks H width leather shoes when I was back in the UK recently.

The ones I have are wide enough but I tried on several styles also H fitting that were not.

NB 2E or 4E are pretty reliable.

Thank You to everyone. It was helpful but still could not find my size. I tried looking at the New Balance, the Web Site shows they make them and it is available on the web site. I searched locations in Bangkok and tried the ones around Siam Station.I Could not find the ones listed for Siam / Center- Discovery - Paragon but I found the one in Central World. I asked if they have walking shoes? They had about 3 styles , I asked if they had size 9 1/2 ? Yes. DO you have in wide 2E?. NO only have 9 or 10 in 2E not in 9 1/2. Close but not the right size. I also looked around a lot of other places and I guess I will just order off the Web site and see what happens with customs , duty, etc. Thank You again to all of you who tried to help.
