Lowest priced round trip from US to Thailand?

In my case I think $100 does make a difference.  $100 is a lot for me since I am far from rich.  Anyways, I just love to search for airfare deals.

 

This time I will take a cheap bus to Chicago or New York and fly out of Chicago or New York since they always have the lowest fares.  It will be a pain in the ass but if that's what it takes then so be it.

New York (JFK) does NOT look like the cheapest place and longest flight time to Bangkok. See above.

Obviously westcoast is the "shortest" and cheapest place to start.
