Does an extension of a 30-day stay permit (visa waiver) need to be made before a certain point in the 30 days, or can the extension be done at any time during the 30 days?

If you apply before the 29th of this month you will only get 7 days to leave the country.

For the 7 days you should apply just a couple of day before your permit to stay ends.

Got it, thanks Joe. My 30 days ends on the 22nd, but I only need an extra four days, so the 7-day extension will work for me.

Yes

You can get a 30 day extension for any 60 day tourist visa entry,  You can do it early and loose nothing because the extension will start from the end of the 60 day permit to stay.

ubon joe. so after 29th can u extend the 30 day by another 30 days at any office. My son here on first visit and he loves Thialand so much he wants to stay another month.
