Bae sa was listed in David Thompson's Thai Food book as 'maltose'.

 

Would anyone know the Thai script for BAE SA?

Not familiar with bae sa.  I believe maltose is a loan word in Thai (ม้อลโทซ).  Not too helpful I'm afraid.  Pretty sure someone can translate bae sa into Thai script.

 

There is a Besan maltose syrup.
