First Premier League manager to go is......

Tony Pulis of Crystal Palace.

From the BBC

Tony Pulis has left Crystal Palace by mutual consent.

Pulis, 56, met with chairman Steve Parish earlier in the day amid reports of friction between the pair over areas of responsibility.

The former Stoke manager has been frustrated by the failure to land a number of his transfer targets during the summer.

Assistant manager Keith Millen will be in temporary charge for Saturday's trip to Arsenal.

Bookmakers' odds had tumbled as speculation over Welshman Pulis' job intensified.

The remainder of Pulis' coaching staff - including Gerry Francis and Dave Kemp - have been asked by Parish to stay on for the Arsenal game before leaving the club.

Pulis wanted to assume greater control of all football matters at Selhurst Park - especially transfers.

Beeb says Malky is ruled out over dodgy stuff he is alleged to have done (and settled on) while at Cardiff. Step up to the plate agent Sherwood?

More than dodgy mate....if it's true he is done for good! BTW Glenda is not without a shout.

Sounds like Tan grassed Malky up to the FA and/or to Palace by sending them some kind of "dossier".

If so, I hope he gets a copy, and if it's just vindictive Asian bowlocks, sues the backside off the nutter for loss of earnings and defamation.

Doesn't need a copy mate...just has to buy the Daily Fail.....TBH Mackay and his mate Moody are both bang out of order. No wonder Mackay suddenly ended his compo claim when Moody's house was raided! Can't believe they expected something like this to stay hidden though. Pair of effin idiots. Moody must resign or Palace's owners will sack him.

I would not be too certain on that. Chairmen might be put off by his dummy throwing AGAIN.He had issues regarding playersx at Stoke city, head butting one player, refusing to play certain palayers because of arguaments, not a very nice man.

Malky Mackay and Iain Moody accused of 'racist texts'

Former Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay and the club's ex-head of recruitment Iain Moody have been accused of sending "sexist, racist and homophobic" text messages during their time at the club.

ITV News understands that the FA has been in communication with Cardiff over the claimswhich surfaced in the Daily Mail.

According to the newspaper, the messages came to light after a raid on Moody's home during the club's investigations into eight transfers.

Among the allegations are claims Mackay used an offensive term about new South Korean signing Kim Bo-kyung, while another message is alleged to have made reference to a sex act with a player's female agent.

The Mail claims there were also a number of homophobic remarks among other messages reported to the FA.

The pair were expected to be reunited at Crystal Palace in the near future, where Moody is now director of football and Mackay was said to be lined up as replacement for former manager Tony Pulis.

Oooh you're right, he's cattle trucked.

In light of the events of yesterday, Sporting Director, Iain Moody has tendered his resignation and it has been accepted with immediate effect.

There will be no further comment from the club on this matter.

<deleted>. One day someone will actually hold their hands up and admit, yeah, I was bang out of order......wager it won't be a football manager tho'sad.png

The LMA wish to clarify the position in relation to recent reports and speculation regarding matters alleged to have arisen during Malky Mackay’s time at Cardiff City FC.

In the course of a search by the Club in early 2014 of 10,000 private text messages sent to and from another member of staff during Mr Mackay’s employment at Cardiff, in relation to other matters, it emerged that Malky had, it seems, sent a couple of one line texts that were, with the benefit of hindsight, very regrettable and disrespectful of other cultures. These were two text messages sent in private at a time Malky felt under great pressure and when he was letting off steam to a friend during some friendly text message banter. That said, Malky believes he could and should have conducted himself better on these two isolated occasions. The precise details need to remain private for the time being until any FA process is complete.

The LMA does not condone in any way any potential breach of equal opportunities laws but would also point out that out of over 10,000 text messages and 70,000 documents produced over a long period of time it may not be a complete surprise that some inappropriate comments can sometimes be made by employees, like Malky, working under great pressure in highly charged situations. If Malky has caused any offence by these two isolated matters he would, however, wish to sincerely apologise.

Malky finds it strange that these matters were only raised with the FA and in the media now, 8 months after his employment ended and the day before he was reported as being offered the opportunity to become manager of Crystal Palace FC.

Malky is also very concerned about seriously inaccurate and misleading reports of his alleged involvement in these matters in the media. It has never been alleged that he wrote any homophobic or sexist messages and he has confirmed that he did not do so. Further, there are incorrect and damaging suggestions that he sent a whole host of offensive and unpleasant messages that are simply not true and which give a grossly distorted and unfair view of Malky’s involvement in this matter. Malky looks forward to matters being put straight in due course, following any investigation of this matter.

Malky cannot of course comment on the nature of any conduct or communications alleged to have been made by others.

Malky has said that he will be fully co-operating with any FA investigation and that he looks forward to putting the record straight thereafter.
