bananafarang
Before I arrived in Thailand, I was looking to apply for retirement visa from outside of Thailand. The process was bit of headache, mostly because I needed to open a bank in Thailand which meant traveling to Thailand and flying back to apply for the Retirement visa. After I found about the Retirement extension upon arrival, I decided to go this route. However, I am still confused as to what is the main difference between the two. It seems Extension is much easier route. Thanks

ubonjoe
You didn't need an account in Thailand to get a non-o or non-oa visa for retirement. Where did you get that info from?
