Mae Sai Visa Exemption Stamp Possible?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is it still possible to cross the Mae Sai border and get a 15 or 30 day stamp?

My situation.

I have only one triple entry tourist visa (issued in London) in my passport and i'm on the last entry which i have just extended by 30 days.

I'd like to stay 2-3 weeks more once the extension runs out. Can i go to Mae Sai and get a 30 day visa excemption stamp to cover this?

I did not apply for extensions on the first two entries and i was outside of Thailand for over a month between each of the entries.

I am asking as it would be a huge pain to go to an embassy and get a new tourist visa when i will only stay for 2-3 weeks more before returning to the UK.

I do not live here and have not done visa runs previously, so would they allow me to cross?

You can get a 30 day visa exempt entry at Mae Sai since you are from the UK. There are no restrictions on doing one after having a tourist visa.

Is it possible for this poster to go to CNX immigration and get a 30 day extension after the 29th of this month when the new regulation comes into effect ?

If he had a visa exempt entry now he could. He is asking about doing his first.

He is now on a 30 day extension for a tourist vise entry and cannot get another one.
