Dear all experts,

Any rough idea on how much is the annual premium to insured a 1 bed room condo in central Pattaya? What type of insurance for condo if intend to rent out the unit? What would be the annual premium for it?

Does the maintenance fee paid inclusive of insurance for the building such as fire protection? Or it is different depending on development?

Thanks

Your building is supposed to be insuring the structure out of the common fee. It wouldnt hurt to check that this is actually happening.

Contents (which also includes kitchens, floor tiles, plumbing and everything else that isnt the building structure) and liability insurance (for when your plumbing leaks on the unit downstairs) can be had from most brokers and insurance companies for around 2000-2500B per 1MB of cover, or half that (or even less) if the building negotiates a group policy. Get your committee onto it. Terms vary, of course.

I doubt there is much on offer that specifically covers you as a landlord, but it cant hurt to ask.
