Apologies. It was General Prayuth. Innocent misspelling sorry.

When you make people accustomed to populism, they always demand more of it.

The PTP made people accustomed to unsustainable populism. The Junta have to clean the mess up.

One can be assured of 2 things regarding General Prayuth in this scenario.

  1. He will not call the protestors garbage or threaten them with violence.
  2. He will not dress as a 13th century water king

Well done General Prayuth fort showing a mature and measured response that adheres to the law. Not violence.

From reading the story what the junta appears to be saying is not to take any action which will be seen on international tv and give Thailand a bad name but check every one there and later arrest them when nobody is looking. Maybe they could send them to one of the northern rehabilitation/be happy again camps.

Difficult for the junta to allow this kind of disruption. If they don't stop it, others will become more emboldened. coffee1.gif alt=coffee1.gif width=32 height=24>

Police should just limit to control traffic light and issue tickets. Protector arrest should be the job of army and military court.

Would you support this kind of thing in your own country? My hope is that the answer is 'no'. Why then are you happy to see the army trample all over the rights of the Thai people?

The arrogance of the man is breathtaking. He is forming a cabinet as though he were the freely chosen choice of the Thai people instead of a dictator in jackboots who stole power at the end of a gun barrel.

The arrogance of the man is breathtaking. He is forming a cabinet as though he were the freely chosen choice of the Thai people instead of a dictator in jackboots who stole power at the end of a gun barrel.

Now cast your mind back to others and let's see the reality of the matter.

''The arrogance of the man is breathtaking. He is formed a cabinet as though he were the freely chosen choice of the Thai people instead of a dictator living in another country who stole power at the end of a set of puppet strings.''
