Southern storm warning

BANGKOK: -- The Weather Department has warned fishermen in the South not to go to sea this week due to heavy rains from monsoons.

The monsoons covering the southern region have resulted in heavy rains and high sea waves.

"Therefore, the fishermen are recommended not to go to sea during this period, particularly from Monday to Tuesday," the department said in a statement issued on Monday.
