Thai speaking British expat searching for employment

Recommended Posts

Before coming to Thailand, I was at Sony's manufacturing plant in the United Kingdom. I was a Line Supervisor. My duties were assigning and directing work in line with weekly production targets and communicating plans to team members. Managing team member activity, attendance, absence, discipline and break times in line with company policies, systems and procedures. Ensuring effective cross-training, development, management, performance appraisal, coaching and counseling of team members. Reviewing, verifying and approving works order paperwork. Carrying out regular housekeeping audits and corrective actions as needed. Active involvement in cross-functional improvement initiatives. Ensuring strict compliance with all company quality standards.

For approximately 6 years I have been finding factories for clients in the US, UK and Europe. I find specific items, if I can't find it, I find a manufacturer to produce the product. My client gives me their requirements like measurements, material, texture, price and then I find the product and negotiate the best price for them. I also have to negotiate with the client, if the clients is unrealistic with their offer. Eight out ten times I can find the product at a lower price than the client is asking to pay for it. I have dealt with clients that wanted cotton ball lights, an American professor looking for someone to product insect houses, jewelry, jeans and my long term customer who want me to manage and produce plastic cylinders. A few years ago I also helped a UK customer get body building supplements which is really cheap here to get hold of.

I recently resigned from a factory in Bangkok. I was an Assistant Manager responsible for purchasing, warehouse and special projects. My responsibilities were to liaise with foreign management, problem solve, communicate with overseas suppliers/vendors,check stock, liaise with our other factories making sure all shipments run smoothly, check warehouse, suggest to management for improvements etc.

I speak Thai, Hold a NON B visa and work permit, Thai driving license, Car, so am able to commute.
