Hardware System Designer/Developer in Dacon R&D Team

This position is for an experienced FPGA R&D engineer to provide additional development for existing and new Ultrasonic and other NDT solutions.

The successful candidate is expected to work well on their own and within the R&D department, especially important is the ability to work in a part of a larger development team. With focus in digital electronics the candidate design multi-layer pcb’s and take care the whole process from the idea to the finish tested board.

Primary Functions:

Develop and document FPGA designs in VHDL for real time Sensor systems for pipeline inspection.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have:

5+ years’ experience of large FPGA development.

Knowledge of VHDL RTL and test bench generation, synthesis and building.

A strong knowledge of Lattice or Microsemi FPGA architectures and their development tools.

Experience of designing for high speed operation (>150MHz).

A working knowledge of some of the following will be an advantage:

NDT, especially Ultrasonic Testing

Board Layout and design for high speed digital circuitry.

High speed serial interfaces (up to 10Gb/s).

Methods of achieving timing closure on large complex designs.
