second 60 Days Extension For Non-Immi "O" for Wife

Featured Replies

Hi All

I’m A Thai Citizen, My Wife Egyptian Citizen with 2 Daughters. We all recently moved to Bangkok, Thailand. My Wife and My 2 Daughters entered Thailand with Single Entry Non-immi O Visa.

About 1 and half month ago we went to Immigration in Cheng Wattana to do an Extension of Stay for 1 Year, My 2 Daughters got The 1 Year Extension no Problem but my wife they gave her 60 days extension only and that’s fine as we don’t have all the required Documents in hand.

My Question Is Can the Immigration Extend My wife's visa another 60 Days?Anyone Have Similar Experience? as it will Expire on Sept 6 and Egyptian Citizen can only apply for Non- Immi O Visa at Thai Embassy of their Hometown (This Means Egypt)

Thank you all In Advance

The 60 day extension can be given only once per entry, but If you now have the current documentation she can apply again for the one year extension.

Otherwise you can try contacting the Thai consulate in Penang, or one of the agents there to check if they could issue a new visa to her.

What documents are you missing to get her a one year extension of stay as your wife? You will not need to show financial proof.

As said only one 60 day extension is allowed per entry.

You should contact the embassy in KL or Penang Malaysia to see if they will issue a visa to her.

Ty Guys for quick reply, @ubonjoe Ampur office wont register my Marriage unless I fixed my name in Marriage certificate and they also gave us option to Remarry again, @paz Thai Embassy in KL clearly stated that they dont accept from countries including egypt http://www.thaiembassy.org/kualalumpur/th/services/963/18992-LIST-OF-COUNTRIES-THAT-MUST-HAVE-RESIDENT-IN-MALAY.html im not sure if its the same in Penang or no :( ? I Really cant afford my wife leaving to Egypt atm as I just moved here and just started a new Job.

That is a list that applies to all Thai embassies and consulates, a new visa means she has to go to Egypt.

Not sure how big the mistake is in the marriage certificate, but you could try another amphur. You can register the marriage at any amphur you like.

What is the problem with the marriage certificate. Is it from Egypt?

Getting married again here might be an option but that would depend upon how difficult it will be to get an affirmation of permit to marry from the Egyptian embassy.

I suggest you contact the embassy in KL or the consulate in Penang to confirm they will not do it. Sometimes they can be flexible.

Do your children have Thai birth certificates?

I will contact the Thai embassy in KL and see if they can issue her a visa or not. Yes before I moved to Thailand I made Thai birth certificate at the Thai Embassy in Egypt for my 2 Daughters.

Getting your wife an extension as you children's mother might be an option but it would require financial proof of 400k baht in the bank or 40k baht income.
