Funny really, just a few days ago a taxi driver arrested after the scumbag assaulted and robbed a Chinese woman. Now this story.

Synchronicity is indeed a strange beast.

maybe this is set up to balance that incident out.

5k on 78k is 6.4%...I thought the standard reward was 10%???

Who sets the "standard" for rewards that you seem to think starts at 10%?

No matter how much he gave it would never be enough for some people who have to jump in with critical comments. If he gave 10%, you can be sure the "standard" would be 20%.

The whining and whingeing here at TV is ceaseless and doesn't depend on any sort of logic.

Something Positive for a change, Nice to see some honest people out there.

Well done Mr a Taxi Driver..

There are more than a few. Reports like this come fairly frequently and many other acts of honesty & kindness go unreported. Taxi drivers are just men & women like everyone else. Being a taxi driver must be stressful, especially in Bangkok, but it doesn't transform an honest person into a thief anymore than any other occupation.

publicity stunt... alt=whistling.gif>

A lot of thought must have gone into your post.

Of course, any good news must be fake. Bad news is obviously true but understated. It's sort of amazing ... a sad reflection on the condescending mentality of too many farang ... how some people feel compelled to rush forward to take a puerile dump on anything that smacks of a positive report on life in Thailand.

If you were able to charge 1000 baht royalty fee for every time we could appropriately use that image on this site you could retire by the end of next week.

"you could retire by the end of next week"

when you read his brainless post you can easily guess he is already retired.... whistling.gif

ps : and judging again by the level of his post, he is certainly not retiring from Nasa or Silicon Valeytongue.png

And with all the money they should seriously save with a stamp down in civil corruption, guys like this should be getting financial rewards from the government for their good work.

For all the critics of taxi drivers in Thaland, I happen to really like most of them. They certainly outmatch local taxi drivers here in NZ.

chinese tour guide in bangkok, is that legal ? work permit or not needed because he looks asian ?

i know, they are harder to spot than the white farang elephant in the room, or the zoo or the wat

Many Thais speak Chinese, what's the big deal? A Chinese tour guide is

a tour guide for the Chinese tourists.

People are so set on being negative, they say the stupidest things.

A taxi driver returned a lot of money, how can anything about that be negative?

The reward is not big enough? How about those refusing a reward just because they

were just doing the right thing. How about get a life? bah.gif

i find it funny either the taxi driver or the police always count how much cash is in the wallet instead of just look for the ID card.

"always count how much cash is in the wallet instead..."

how do you know this to be true? Are you trolling here, bored or just really an arse?
