Headless Tourists Found in the Sea Off Pattaya

Two news sources have mentioned that the police discover two headless bodies of tourists floating near Pattaya with their small yacht nearby. The bodies were in the water for 10 days to 2 weeks and the yacht had been ransacked. Now today's paper quotes the police did not find evidence or foul play.

I'm not the usual conspiracy theorist normally found on the pages of Thai Visa but I think this case may require a bit of discussion. Either the police statements lost a lot in translation or this is another fine example of downplaying a major criminal event so as not to impact tourism.

Does anyone have any information on this event?
