Three children killed in China school stabbing

(BBC) Three children have been killed and six more people injured in a knife attack at a school in China's central Hubei province, state media report.

The attack took place at the Dongfang primary school in Shiyan city on Monday morning.

Police said a man in his forties stabbed eight children and an adult and then killed himself by jumping off a building, Xinhua news agency reported.

Local police said that an official investigation was underway.

Citing an initial police investigation in a post on its official microblog, Chinese state broadcaster CCTV news said that the man was "a parent of a student".

My condolences to the family of the victims. It's sad to lose a child.

Now it is likely that no one will really know the motive behind the senseless killing of Chinese school children...

So far...Thailand's schools only have teachers who physically abuse the children who do not do their homework...

Let's hope they get a handle on this unacceptable form of punishment...before a child is ruined for life....

It is, for whatever reason, too common in China for these kind of knife attacks on kids in schools. Kind of like the American shootings, but with knives. If he was mentally ill then that would be understandable to an extent, still totally wrong and horrific but understandable, if however he was simply suicidal why go and stab a load of kids first? RIPp to those oor kids and hope the families can find some closure with time.
