Man gets free motorbike after pulling 'Take my wife' joke
By Coconuts Bangkok

This is a heart-warming story of a man’s love and dedication.

BANGKOK: -- A Phitsanulok man received a lovely second-hand motorcycle from a shop in Pathum Thani province yesterday after the owner saw his funny viral video in which he begged the thief to return his bike in exchange for his wife.

Yesterday his very same wife posted a thank-you note to the owner of a motorcycle shop who saw the viral video and drove it to Phitsanulok to give to the family for free.

She and her husband, Kriangsak Rawechchom, 36, appear happy in a photo with the new yellow Honda which can handle the collective family burden, according to her message posted on Facebook yesterday.

What a heart warming story. Pity they did not name the second hand store which could benefit from their generosity, even if the whole charade is a but 'funny':)

Wait for a rash of " take my wife " pleas and oh so many of them will be genuine cheesy.gif

Family on a bike and no crash helmets, what could possibly go wrong?

A new Reality show concept perhaps ? "Take My Wife, Please !" Where contestants try to get complete strangers to take their wives.

Whichever contestant gets rid of his wife (to a stranger) for the least amount, wins ! Bonus points if the wife has in-laws attached 24/7 to the hip. Handicap if the wife is a hi-so fashion model (like the wives of 99% of TV members) !

Prizes to include:

Free Divorce Attorney !

Free vacation package with the (new) girlfriend/mia !

Free penis replacement surgery (if the former wife gets to you first) !

Shame a Helmet manufacturer doesn't come forward and give them four free helmets in the interests of safety. Good promotional gimmick too.

"Can handle the collective family burden" ......

That's quite a way to put it! Well done author!

So the shop owner thought....OK I had his wife already...and gave him a motorbike.

You forgot to mention they were on the sidewalk too.smile.png

A story with a happy ending for all.

You can take mine for nothing

You can take mine for nothing

Can you provide us with some specifications like age, mileage, size, maintenance costs etc.

You can take mine for nothing

Your a cheap Charlie----YOU pay me to take her off your hands.

What about the bike's burden? 4 people on a bike designed for a maximum of 2, and a rear passenger who needs to have her daily calorie intake reduced?

many thai blokes have offered me their wives in exchange for some lose change but i declined their kind offers

Someone could steal the bike.

This reminds me of a funny bumper sticker I spotted a long time ago:

"Ex-wife For Sale - Take Over Payments..."

You can take mine for nothing

For nothing or for free ?

A 2nd hand m/cycle. Is there a message in that?

Of course, this is just for the photo-op. When driving/riding they will always wear helmets, proper protective clothing and motorcycle boots; as do all Thais. cheesy.gif

Someone's stolen not only my Lear Jet but also my Ferrari as well - please return them in exchange for my wife and take over the payments for them, all three !

This is Thailand (TIT for beginners) , no helmets, no worry, they pray to Buddha and they believe they will be lucky the rest of their lives. No problem................................

At least they can laugh over the whole affair in the "politically correct (double speak for beatdown)" West the man would be crucified, his wife pressured to leave him and claim abuse and the bike dealer would not dare come forward".

They're posing for a photo, not travelling anywhere. Not much to go wrong at all in that situation.

How about posting a picture of yourself, Adonis, then your physique can be criticised unjustly also?

I'm willing to give him my wife, my mother-in law, AND my motorcycle too....

i agree about helmets but right now you are being a party poopertongue.png

Why bother? They won't wear them and you can't fit four helmets into a basket on the front.

Helmets ?

I'm willing to give him my wife, my mother-in law, AND my motorcycle too....

I offer him 2 brand new motorbikes if he takes my wife's full family (with dogs too) but I don't give my wife ....
