I am about to apply for a parental visa. I have a yellow Tabian ban, Thai birth certificate with my son & my name on it and and a foreign birth certifite with our names on it from my country.

Will this be sufficient to obtain a parental visa?

The website is very vague and talks about DNA tests!

Difinitive clarification would be most welcome.

When going to a consulate, you may get a non-imm O visa, single or multi entry with that documentation.

For a 12 months extension obtained in Thailand country, you may need legalization of your father rights. See sticky thread

It could be a little easier for a 60 days extension.

In any case you would also need mother's blue book and ID card copies, signed,

You can get a single entry non-o visa for being the parent of a Thai.

Are you the legal parent of you child by way marriage or legitimization? Without this you cannot get a multiple entry non-o visa at most embassies and consulates nor a one year extension of stay.

What website says a something about a DNA test.
