PHUKET: Four members of the black plate taxi group were arrested on Wednesday (September 3) for selling drugs in Patong beach.

At 1am, Lt Col Suthichai Teinpo and Narcotics police went undercover and operated a sting where they found four people selling drugs to both locals and tourists and pretended to be working as a disguise.

The offenders were calling out both locals and tourists to see if they needed a taxi, but they were actually selling drugs.

Police arrested Umawadee Wijitsopa, 34, with one bag of ya ice (0.8 gram), Jaknarin Sanyakit, 25, with two bags of ya ice (0.40 gram), Nateethon Kitjarad, 27, with three bags of ya ice (0.3 gram), and Somsak Onoothon, 36, also with three bags of ya ice (2.1 gram).

Police took them to Kathu police station where they were later charged with possession of a Category 1 drug with intent to sell.

Nice to see these four off the street. Too bad the article doesn't say which black plate taxi group and location they were arrested at. Judging by the weight of the bags, they weren't even honest drug dealers, all of the bags were light.

Everybody wants to get rich, but nobody wants to work,

Everybody wants to get rich, but nobody wants to work,

"Everybody wants to get rich, but nobody wants to work," - in that case, it makes you wonder why they don't hire Burmese to do their drug dealing for them. biggrin.png

Because they might have to pay them, emphasis on might.

"Go on, point! You, you on the end, with the hair, call that a point!"

Looks like that guy on the left has been burning up all his profits...wai2.gifwai.gif

Honest drug dealers Steel? I love that one!

The Jimi Hendrix look-a-like looks like he's going the whole hog with it all, he's properly wired! I'd guess his sales method is "one for you, one for me"

Wonder what's going on in this taxi stand duplex. Lots of motorcycles out, but only one guy in the garden sala and the rest in the bamboo lounge behind the screen.

In the arrest photo they're all pointing at the evidence as usual. I always wondered what the police say to make them pose like this. " OK, time to point " and everyone just does bit cause they have seen it on TV a million times already. But what about the foreigners who get arrested. What happens if you don't point. But nobody ever refuses.

Nothing happens- you do not have to participate, and certainly should not, it is very incriminating, which is why they have you do it. If you are arrested, refuse to have your picture taken and hide your face with your shirt or arm or whatever you can.

Why is the girl the only one not wearing handcuffs ? Have the Cops told her that she can get all charges dropped if she is good with her hands !
