On a double entry tourist visa, it is my understanding that you can get a 30 day extension on each entry. (60 days plus 30 days). How is this done?

Fill in a TM7 form with one picture and make copies of your passport, bio page, visa, permission to stay stamp, and TM 6 card and go to the local immigration office. Cost 1900 baht. Ignore the above post he could have told you with as many words that he used to tell you to FO!

On the printed visa there is a use-by or expiry date in addition to the date shown on the hand stamp you got when you first entered the country.

The visa expiry clock started ticking as soon as the visa was issued, not when you first entered the country. If you got 60 days at the airport and 30 day extension from immigrations, you still have to make your border exit and your second entry before the visa expires in order to get the next 60 days.

So you have to keep your eye on permission to stay hand stamp dates as well as the visa expiration date.
