ED Visa Run Package?

Featured Replies

Just got back from school and because pretty much every student is like a headless chicken and can barely speak Thai, they are freaking out. My school has this package to Vientiane and I explained to the staff member that I plan to fly directly in. She said that may cause problems when trying to get your visa... I have never heard of this before, what does it matter if I fly in or go over the bridge? Maybe she was just trying to sell me this package deali? Sorry I don't want to spend 14 plus hours lumped together with people on Thai roads when I can either fly to Vientiane or to Udon Thani. Can anybody verify that flying in will have zero problems?

It doesn't matter if you go by land or by air and Udon Thani still means by land.

No problem to fly in.

Plus doing it on your own you can choose to do it on Tuesday or Wednesday when it is less busy in Vientiane.

Thanks for clearing that up, yea I know you have to get a series of buses and taxis from Udon, or pay for a taxi right to the bridge and then one right to your hotel once across. Still works out cheaper than flying right in and saves a lot of time.
