Anyone know if there are any brass bands in Pattaya?

As in music?

There was a recent birthday party for a man named Paul at The Lounge bar (now closed). He hired a brass band. You can check the recent archives of Pattaya People Media Group to find the footage. Paul's full name is revealed (he's also their voice over guy) and you can contact him directly on Facebook.

Seems surreal - a brass band in Thailand. I'd go to see one. Failing that watch the film Brassed Off with the late, great Peter Postlethwaite and Ewan McGegor. Helena Bonham Carter also stars in a role as a Yorkshire Lass returned home from the posh South. Bit of a departure from her Merchant Ivory and Jonny Depp co-star roles. The music in the film was played by the Grimethoprpe Colliery Brass Band. Stirring stuff!! There must be more than a few ex-colliers in Pattaya who could perhaps form a band.

Probably not like the UK brass bands but a few schools here have a marching type band with brass instruments ....they might still down at times too ....
