Anyone know of good hotel / Beach Bungalows in Central Chawang, close to the action but not to noisy.Good standard etc etc, looking at 1500 baht per night but flexible.

Any recommendations ?

I would suspect that a fair number of "experts" in this forum are actually expats living in Samui.

Most likely they won't be staying in hotels :o

You might try the travel forum if you need a quicker response.

Strange answer.Does that mean you sit indoors all day with a blind fold on and talk to people ? I live in Pattaya and could suggest Hotels there as you see what looks nice, you interact with people etc etc.

Pathetic moron.

IMHO a very strange response to a helpful reply - each to their own I suppose

There are a number of bungalow type resorts on Chaweng. I've stayed at Evergreen Resort and found it to be adequate. The rooms are quite small but for me it's just a place to sleep and keep my luggage while i'm there and I don't spend a lot of time in a hotel room...except at night...or day whenever I manage to get back from a night out!

Having just visited Samui a couple of weeks ago Evergreen (I didn't manage to stay there this time due to being fully booked) are having construction work carried out at the moment so it's probably not the best choice right now. Further down Chaweng's south is the First Bungalow resort, they have some brand new bungalows built and the beach area is very nice and not vastly busy, however, they might be above your price range but is a nice place to stay. Try sawadee.com they have good rates and a good choice of places to stay with plenty of pictures and reviews by people who have stayed there - good luck and enjoy.

I live on Koh Phangan, not Samui and NEVER stay there. So, no I never recommend a hotel on Samui to anyone. Anyone with half a brain can find something for themselves. Thousands do it every day.

Oh, and one last thing, be careful, flaming of other members is against forum rules. :o

sbk replied with a simple answer, no reason for you to be a jerk.

A good answer too. Just because we live here doesnt mean we know where all the hotels are. I have never stayed in a hotel anywhere in Samui either.

Do us a favor and dont bother comming to Samui.

So you live on Koh Pangan yet you felt the need to reply in a leary manner to something which you had absolutely no input to as in your words you NEVER stay in Samui. Why you felt the need to answer to a topic which did not concern you says it all.

Why not take note of zaz who answered with a very informative and constructive response. Many thanks zaz.

As for you sbk how abt going back to your sad existance of trawling the web looking to abuse people asking for a bit of advice you clown.

I cannot see anything in SBK's reply that warrants the responses you have given. I know some really great places on Chaweng that are right within your budget and would be perfect for you. I won't mention them though as it might just send you over the edge!

Take a quick peek under my name, it says "super moderators". I was only trying to be helpful since you hadn't had any responses to your posting in a little under a day. But, since you are obviously the kind of guy who doesn't take well to helpful responses, try this answer instead:

I wouldn't give you the name of a nice place even if I knew one because I wouldn't want to curse the people running it with your abusive behavior. I suggest if you can't play nice you should take your toys and go home. :o

Well, I was going to give some names but now won't either.

The rudeness of some people appalls me. Asks a question to which anybody could answer and then goes on to have a childish tantrum.

What was the name of that roach and flea infested place again??! :o

I have stayed at few places on Chaweng in the past, and I'll coming back in about 2 weeks to take a friend who wants to visit there. I have a bungalow at Montien House for 1750 baht. I've also stayed at the Chaweng Villa resort right next door for about 1800, deluxe bungalow, and that was a very good deal for price. Both are about 5 minutes away from the main area of bars and clubs.

Try to get a way for a few days to Pha ngan, it's more pleasant.....have a wonderful trip!

Laugh and be Happy.....Peace,

Mayacan
