Royal Thai Consulate in Honolulu, Hawaii -- NEW ADDRESS

Featured Replies

I tried to reply to the old thread, but it has been archived.

The consulate in Honolulu has moved, and many sites do not reflect the change of address.

I just went yesterday to get a tourist visa. They will issue a TRIPLE entry tourist visa, but you must provide both a bank statement and proof of an exit flight out of Thailand. Since the visa will be good for a total of 9 months, I booked a cheap flight to Cambodia on AirAsia ($52) 9 months out.

For a double or single entry tourist visa, they do not require the plane ticket exiting the country. Only for the triple entry. But considering how much of a pain visa runs, are, I opted for the triple!

The visa costs $40 per entry, so triple entry is $120. Turn around is "5-7 business days," but in my case they agreed to get it to me in three since I have an upcoming flight.

The office is located in an otherwise industrial district. At first, I thought I had the wrong address... but then you see the small sign. It's just an office, located in the back of a small building. Officially the smallest consulate I've ever seen! But they were very friendly and helpful. Nice people, no issues or snags.

Here's the info:

Other than the above link, they don't have a website that I can find. As such, they also don't have a downloadable visa form... but I used this one with no problems (they are pretty much all the same, worldwide). This form actually allows you to fill it out on the web before printing! COOL smile.pngbiggrin.png

Please mention the visa validity period when you'll have it.

That is the same address that is show here on embassy website: http://www.thaiembdc.org/dcdp/?q=consulate_honorary

Website shown on that page has been hijacked so no help there.

I am posting this for general reference... it would be nice if other members adding updated info.

I'm pretty sure that is the same office I got all my visas in Honolulu from 1996 to about 2003.

The old thread on ThaiVisa about this embassy lists the wrong address:

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/526552-royal-thai-consulate-honolulu/

As do some other sources:

Just wanted to update peeps as well as mention the triple entry visa! :)

I will indeed reply with the validity length as soon as I have the visa on Monday :D

  • 1 month later...
  • 10 months later...

Just called the number from the OP and it's still valid. They said office hours are 10-2. I'm going there today on some business. I've visited this office in the past, after erroneously trying to visit one of the outdated addresses found on other websites. This address (a year or two ago) is actually a cleaning services business but is the correct location. At the time, I tried to get a double-entry visa but they said single entry was all they could do. I'm surprised they told Jason he could get a triple entry. Just wondering, how did that work out? Did you get the triple entry? Thanks.
