Greenwing wont tell as 500 series usually exclusive to BigWing. I think around Jan-Feb next year. Dont expect much of a change there.

LL,

She works as a law lecturer in the university, hopefully that will be sufficient to get a finance with me as well when I get WP.

yep, it should be ok then superior especially if she has a government contract.

Yes she works at Government university here in Phayao. How long do you think it will get to get finance sorted? I might start working soon so trying to find time. I really wish I could apply for finance without going to BKK and just go to pick it up once its there

it really depends. what i hear, banks might not allow finance all the time these days like before.

banks are having difficulties on getting back the loans.

Well we will see, she has been in this place for 8 years already and always paid off all the bills. So I think she has a better chance than I do lol. Wonder if any banks can give out credits for example I have 130 if bank could give 170 more would be great without going through BigWing or any dealer.

Wanted to ask you, what was the longest trip you took on you CBR650F?

i could not go for a long tour yet, work you know:(

but did many one day 400 and 500 km rides and a 600 km last with TV riders and went Sangklaburi and back, i remember around 800 km with extra excursions.

all comfy and fast rides like a breeze. no hand tingling, no ass pain and good wind protection. inline four is smooth and plenty with low down torque but not the smoothest of hondas. it never misses a beat though.

check it out by yourself if it is sporty or camry or what:

BTW does anyone know a rental shop that has a CB650F in Phuket? Would love to rent one for a day to do a bit extensive riding to see how I like it.

LL2: what speed are you doing in 6th gear at 4.5k RPM? I remember from my test ride a few months ago there are some vibrations starting around that mark or maybe I remember wrong. My CBR500R is getting a bit viby there. In general, how are vibrations compared to your CBR500R if you can still remember?

4500 - to 6000 rpm is the economy revs so some vibrations there, same as cbr500r, but not bad. especially vibes get better after break in. as i stated, engine is not the smoothest of honda inline fours, but again, never disturbing.

Guys do you think it is worth waiting for this motorshow at the end of November? I dont expect any price drops for the bike, new 2015 model might add new colors but nothing else new I guess like it was with cbr500. Plus 2015 version will probably be out early next year?

Apart from maybe better finance options I dont think there will be much to influence my decision. I start new job in Nov either on 2nd or 15th so I dont really have time to make trips to BKK

i dont think so there will be any price drop. Chance of the price increasing is more than price dropping.

At moto expo, sure you get better finance option and sometime other benefits but not super drastic than buying it from a normal bigwing dealer.

it is going this way for years but who knows superior, things change.

Trying to push my wife to get a move on!!! Hate when things slow down when everything was going great. My only issue is going to BKK and back dragging my family with me just to sign some papers for finance..... But CM BG Credit by nyom panich is a pile of s..... 9% Interest plus only one deposit 105k. Does anyone knows of any companies or banks that can give loan for lets say 180-200k for 2-3 years? Then I would jusgt buy it cash in CM without all the hassle in BKK

just get it from Moto Expo art Impact Arena at the end of November if it is not urgent or if you are not itching for itlaugh.png

Take it as a nice Bangkok holiday with your family and see the other great bikes there, it is always a bike porn over there:)

Sure you get a better interest rate and possibly some other extras and maybe you can get the tri color version as possibly they will release it.smile.png

But one thing, just book your bike during the first two days of the moto expo as if you leave it last days, there might be a queue sure around a month.

and also you have to think like how can Bigwing Bangkok can send you your bike or you need to come and ride it back home. It will be another expense and hassle.

LL, I start my new job on 15 November maybe even on 2nd. Nobody will give me holiday leave to go to a motor show. Yes it is itching pretty badly. I can submit all documents and deposit now, when it gets approved even if its when I have to work. I can come on weekend there, pick it up and drive back up north here in 1-2 days and still get to work on time. Where as if I do it as you say, first surely there will be some queue there. Going to bangkok twice in november will surely get me out of the door:) Man I wish BigWing CM wasnt such a rip off.

Keep in mind superior, coming to bangkok twice especially with the family will cost you close to the extra interest rate from bigwing chiang mai. Plus a lot of time and hassle.

Maybe you can ask bigwing bangkok to deliver it to your house for free via bigwing chiang mai but i dont think so that is realistic.

That's 18,000 bht more in interest with 15,000 more additional deposit. Trip on my pickup will cost about 4k return. Next time when I go to pick up bike I will go by bus and drive it here, still comes out cheaper. After all headaches I experienced with BW Chiang Mai, I dont really want to deal with them. Also the bike they offered me to take at the same day already fully connected and has 116 km on ODO.

Will there be any difference buying from BKK? Still can service in Chiang mai right? And Honda Roadside assistance works? Never tried it, BigWing CM nobody ever even told me it exists.

Okay so wife called to Bigwing Today, they said if order now bike in RED will be available MID November :(

For finance they said it gets sorted in 1-2 days. Plan to go to BKK on 19th.

LL the driver from Meehay doing speed test said following:

I'm not the driver actually but i'll translate this to you.

The driver said "The top speed of the bike is 248 KMH and propably reach 250+ easily if we still got the road to. This is worth the price you've paid, guarantee by the direct test driver. There is still a room for improvement such as the handle is extremely slipped once we reached 200+ KMH, really dangerous. Recommendation: install the steering damper really help

Enjoy :)

i know the translation of it. read it before.

it might be about the quality of the roads as well.

i believe, it is always good to install a steering damper to any sport bike.

i have seen 233 kph and ride many kms above 200 kph and had no problems about steering. you can get one from rsv racing if you need with adapters for like 15 k - 20 k thb.

still there is queue? wow. honda is selling good numbers i guess.

but hey, for 300 k thb, you get a bike that can see 250 kph.

and two trips to bkk will cost you more than 4 k. you will eat food, hotel etc.

bigwing chiang mai has to service your bike but they might be pissed to hear the fact that you get your bike from bkk.

Haha LL I really couldnt give a flying .... about what they feel like. They are nice guys a like them but manager is a moron and NyomPanich is giving you worst deal on a bike. Having calculated interest and deposit difference you pay more 29,995 bht in CM that is a lot of money. My wife has relatives in Bangkok we usually stay there so food and hotel is pretty much out of the question. It is also pretty much the fastest way for me to break in the bike before 1st service:) How much is the service compared to 500? Are you on Synthetic oil or regular one?

Breaking advised by Bigwing BKK 5000 rpm not more than 100 kph? I have heard 2 different stories from CM Bigwing One said 5000 rpm -100kmp another one head engineer said not more than 7000 rps 130 kph? Duh.

Yes surprised there is still a queue, I will ask about black one tomorrow they both look great, though black one will get very hot. The bike standing in the shop in Chiang Mai that I got offered to take home has got more than 100 km on odo with a good wear on the tire.

P.S When my wife asked about delivery for bike (10000 bht ) they asked why not buy from CM, she told them about issues there (the ones we had in the past) the guy said that they are aware and ap-honda received a lot of complaints last year.

yep, for 30 k difference, it is OK.

For oil, i always change it at 100 km after a hard break in and at 1000 km service change them one more time. I went with semi synthetic during the first 6000 km as always and change it to full synthetic at 6000 km.

So, get the bike from Bigwing Bangkok, do 100 km with varying revs, speed bursts, some declaration and acceleration, and redline it as well in Bangkok, many big roads around bigwing which you can do these easily if not rush hour:) Than turn back to the shop and let them change the oil and oil filter and ride to Chiang Rai.

By the time, you reach Chiang Rai, it will be close 1000 km anyway and you need to go back top Chiang Mai for 1000 km service.

I rev it hard from the beginning and dont do soft break in as written in the manual.

And forget the manager at Bigwing Chiang Mai and try to establish a new relationship with a new chapter with them with your new bike. I am sure everything should be fine.

Udon use 2 banks. Kasikorn and if I remember correctly, SCB. They also honour the rates given on BigWing's website.

Never tried hard break in yet on any of my bikes. I did however exceeded advised rpm range by a couple of k on the way back to CR. Actually I stay in Lampang now so thats about 600km but will move to Phayao in the next 2 weeks.

LL wanted to ask something, where is BigWing BKK? I remember someone saying around Lad Phrao however google maps says closed, shows new location RAMA 3 which is very very close to where I stay overnight in Samut Prakan. Just need to cross half a Rama 9 bridge.

How do you get out of bangkok to go to autthaya -- and Nakhon Sawan ? I usually go by car so use expressways and tolls but I know bikes arent allowed there.

i was there last week for my late 12,000 km service. it is not closed but sometime they have some events or meetings and can close at some certain dates so better call them.

to go to Lampang, easiest road is:

but i prefer to get this one as lots of curves and nice scenery:) little bit longer but worth it.

So they run 2 branches at the same time? Okay will give them a ring to check. Rama 3 is very convenient.

The roads you gave me all avoid expressways where bikes cant go right?

Probably last question how big is the fuel tank on the bike? If you go smooth 120 or so how long does it last outside the city? I got about 370 on CBR500 and if lucky 300 on versys. In a city versys barely managed 200. Aluminium swing arm how does it far with crappy roads? Are giving it a good go just like you did with 500?

I just came from Big Wing on Pradit-Manutham and google did indeed say it was closed, although it was very open.

Had my last service done at Big Wing Rama 3 since it is only 20 minutes away from where I live.

Good service, small dealership, no Gloria Jean's, very very small accessories corner. If you come off the Bumibol bridge, take a right and then the first U-turn, about 150 meters further and you are there.

Great I think my wife was BS'ing me on purprose to drag time out. I called today to ask how long to wait on black. Guy said no queue on any of the colors!!!! So might get in on 20th or so. Cant wait. Said finance will take 2 days to approve not more than 3.

Bramds is the one on rama 3 small? Do they have bikes in there? Any decent test drive? I might go to lad phrao, might have more stock.

Get it from the main shop at lad phrao. They have a bigger area and some acessorries. They give you 15 percent on accrssories if you buy them aame day witb your bike.

Also good guys there.

I go between 250 to 300 km with full tank which is 17.3 liters but i manage to fill 18 liters!

If you go a smooth 120 kph, it can easily go around 330 - 350 km.

One you hit the reserve, fule gauge starts to blink and it can go to a max 4,9 liters after that.

They can also hook me up with insurance right? As far as i asked nothing comes free when you buy bike. In cm they gave porabo road tax and number plate.

I will probably register here but insurance I will buy there on the spot. I'm still not sure about colors, why such a poor selection this time? I really really dig mate black color but my god will it get hot. When Im at work it will be parked outside, plus in the dark no one will see me coming on a black one, specially here in the country-side with barely any lights.

red. more visibility and less hot bike. black colors hide the curves of faired sportbikes IMO but maybe for cbr650f's strange styling, it might be a good thing for some thoughlaugh.png

also not easy to maintain matt paints.

tri color is also nice. Maybe they offer it this November at moto expo.

insurance just buy it right away with the bike. Once you get the receipt of insurance, it is valid automatically even if you dont receive the policy on the spot.

I got Tokio Marine insurance and it was an unbelievable 9000 thb per year. But what i heard they dont offer it anymore and now insurance is 12 k so ask if Tokio Marine is available or not.

They have three different insurance along with several payment types. 13k, 16k, and 18k are the insurance per year. See attch. file post-181825-14131778207955_thumb.jpg
