Provinces across Thailand continue to be hit by natural disasters

BANGKOK, 7 October 2014 (NNT) - The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation made known that provinces across Thailand continue to experience a range of natural disasters including floods.

The department said heavy overnight rains during the past two days have triggered widespread floods in Satun, affecting nearly 10,000 people. Water levels appear to be receding and the situation is expected to return to normal in 2 days’ time.

Krabi, Trang and Kamphaengphet have been hit by a series of severe storms while a rockslide was reported in Phetchaburi, killing one person and injured another. Both victims are Russian nationals.

The DDPM, the army and other related agencies are expediting assistance to those affected by natural disasters across Thailand. Residents who are in need of further assistance can contact the DDPM hotline at 1784.

Hit by Natural Disasters , it is raining , okay it is raining heavily , but I wouldn't call it a Natural Disaster , never mind Natural Disasters.

" Earthquakes , Volcanic Eruptions , Tornados , Hurricanes, Tsunamis " they are Natural Disasters.

So in your opinion heavy rain is unnatural.

And your mate above you who thinks boulders loosened by heavy rain falling off cliffs need to be given 'effective run off'.

RIP the Russian lady.

No , I never implied Heavy Rain was un-natural . Heavy Rain is natural throughout the world , it is not a Natural disaster.
