Big Buddha Day today - Wednesday 8th?

It does not seem to be on any official list of days for bar closure but different areas may issue notices - or requests only - for bars to close.

Unless someone from the local municipality or police station has visited with a notice to close (as they often do) then it can be assumed that they can open.

Often on such Buddhist event days, staff would prefer to have that day off and many owners close for that reason.

In Mabprachan area, as of last night, some had chosen that latter option and some had chosen to open.

However, that assumes no notices to close are issued during the day.

Often, requests are to keep music down only and/or no excessive extra celebrations like parties.

This is all from past experience and not from any official source but hope it helps a bit.

So, has anyone been out? Are the bars open? Can some of you with wives/girlfriends working in GoGo's for "drinks only" let us know if Walking Street and Soi LK Metro will be open, serving, and of course, nude dancers on stage and sex acts on the pads along with shower shows?
