Speeding driver killed as car strikes rear of truck in East Pattaya

crash-2.jpg
PATTAYA:--On Friday afternoon a deadly road crash occurred on Highway 36 involving a car and a truck, which resulted in the death of the car driver who was reportedly rushing to work.

Police and medics attended the scene as the body of Khun Putajuk aged 31 was pulled from a wrecked Toyota Altis. The car had rear-ended a slow-moving truck carrying paper destined for a recycling plant.

Even though the truck driver was determined not to be at-fault, he fled the scene before authorities arrived and is currently being sought by Police.

They've got to start offering prison sentences to these weak people that do runners. While I can sort of understand it if you are totally in the wrong and plough into someone at night -- given the probability of baying mobs in this great Buddhist nation -- but this was broad daylight and the truck driver hadn't done anything wrong (unless he likes to drink in the morning). But by running, he has made himself guilty. Sad someone's dead, but he danced with the devil and could have ploughed into a bus full of tourists or kids.

I love when these maniacs behind the wheel only wind up killing themselves.

All too often they take innocent law-abiding families with them.

Does make you wonder what the story is with the lorry driver.

How do they know the truck-driver was determined to be "not at fault" considering he "did-a-runner" ??

If you rear-end another vehicle in front of you then chances are you were at fault.

Its not very hard to determine fault based on evidence at scene and witness statements.

Well, the SPEEDFREAK won't be causing any further problems on the roads.

I do however feel sorry for the driver of the vehicle he crashed into, even though he did, "a runner." Also feel sorry for the Emergency Crews who had to go out and clean-up what would NOT have been a very pretty sight.

Yes, it probably is a stomach turning experience, just look at the face of the rescue worker, though some guy in a red top has to poke his nose in...xsick.gif.pagespeed.ic.tVTSNn-2vr.png
