I mean what does it add to any topic for a poster to be nothing more than insulting in denying another poster of his opinion and then using that most malicious comment "If you dont like it here than get out and close the door behind you"

I often think that the poster who uses this type of abuse, for abuse is what it really are always short of coming up with any interesting, relevant or informative answer but must feel so inadequate that have to be derisory and insulting to boot in telling someone to bog off!

Another phrase I just love and I think one or two posters have taken it on board and that is: "Just saying!"

Have you not come across the ex sas type i have in numerous bars in and around,you know the type the all knowing argumentive type,thailand breeds em it seems.

When nobody listens to them it's off home turn on the pc/laptop and vent off here or in numerous online games i play on my pc,i don't miss my home country but it was tranquil compared to here,just a phase of getting used to the daily crap one comes across like the different culture etc.

It's very oversensitive and OTT PC to say that it is "abuse".

I don't think it's "abuse" at all. For heaven's sake, abuse is insulting language, not a rebuke.

It's another way of saying, "if the fire's too hot, get out of the kitchen" to people who appear to be completely intolerant of many of Thailand's unavoidable characteristics.

For some people, it's good advice and I'm sure offered with the best of intentions.

Weeeeeeell, don't think that is quite true. I have nooooo problems except a couple of UK murdered kids ain't getting their wasted lives sorted. ............

Per post #18 no problem until they seem to have the need to make such declaration like a Hallmark greeting card on a near daily basis.

Yes you basically summed up my thoughts on the matter and for those whose dissent is so magnificently acidy, it seems that they themselves could be reacting and maybe the main culprits, in other words they (the dissenters) seem to protesteth too much eh Dave?

OK and I do accept that whilst the word "abuse" may have been a little strong, telling some one to get out of the Country also seem a little strong because of a difference in attitude or opinion!

Maybe* it's because they actually agree with the poster, but can't admit it to themselves because then they would be in the wrong place. They rarely actually offer any constructive argument as to either

a ) why things are the way that they are; it's easier to accept things that you understand

b ) or why the issue of concern is not a major issue

c ) or how to minimise the problem of concern.

I used to work with people with mental handicaps. One fellow tried to work in the kitchen but kept passing out from the heat. The doctor told him not to go in the kitchen anymore. I believe the doctor said "if you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen." Most people without mental handicaps know this. Apparently not thought from what you are saying.
