90 days

Featured Replies

I have to file my first 90 day report very soon. As I understand it, it should be done 7 days either side of the date stamped in my passport. I got my work permit and extension of stay done at Nonthaburi immigration so I should assume I should go there? Which form should I get and what documents do I need? I have read there is no charge for the 90 days report; is that still true?

Also, on a side note, I go home for Christmas for two weeks so when should I get my re-entry visa?

Any pointers, tips/advice or general recommendations would be really helpful. Thanks.

You can do your 90 day report 15 days before your report date or 7 days after including the report date in the count. There is no fee for it.

You will fill out a TM47 form. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm47.pdf

You can apply for the re-entry permit (not visa) at any time you want. A single re-entry permit will be valid until you use it or your when your current permit to stay ends.

Thanks Joe. So the talk of online reporting is just that at the moment? Also do I need to take any documents with me for 90 day report? Passport and W/P?

For sure your passport. At most offices the form and it are all that is needed.

Some offices also want copies of your passport photo page, visa, extension, entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card. Some even want proof of residence.

Although probably best to do your first report in person, there does exist a snail (if not electronic) mail option for submitting 90-day reports, which you might wish to consider for the future - assuming, of course, that Nonthaburi Immigration allow this method of reporting. Reports should be posted by EMS and received at your local immigration office no later than 7 days before the due date, and you will need to provide the following:-

(1) Completed TM47.

(2) Original of previous notification slip.

(3) Copies of the docs listed by ubonjoe in post #4.

(4) Self-addressed envelope with a 5 THB stamp affixed to enable Immigration to mail you back the latest notification slip.
