There's talk in Argentina this morning that Aguero picked up a knock and won't be here for the WC qualifiers. No idea if there's any truth in it.

According to the Manchester Evening News he has a calf strain. He should have flown out straight after the match but didn't go.

Manchester City midfielder Bruno Zuculini has signed a season-long loan deal with Spanish second-tier side Rayo Vallecano, his parent club have confirmed. The move is a fifth loan switch away from Manchester for the 23-year-old Argentine, who has made just one competitive appearance for City since signing from Racing Club in 2014.He has also had spells at Valencia, Cordoba, Middlesbrough and AEK Athens, making just 18 appearances combined for the four clubs.

Hasn't been a successful signing.

^^ dont like to say it england no 1 ect ect the last i heard he wasnt even going to get on the bench at city and given the club wernt going to sub his wages ie you want him you pay the lot and your lot a lot means a LOT!!! it looks and sounds like it was the only deal on the table and he had little option but to take it. A couple years in a foriegn lge, learn a language, cant remember thinking he was particulary bright in fact exactly the opposite but even so at his age learning italian shouldnt be 2 dificult and overall imo the expierence will do him good.

I for one would be happy if he got a 2 week break ahead of the United match. Assuming he doesn't get a ban of course

So do you think he should be banned?

Just for future reference of course...... an elbow similar to what he did is not even allowed in UFC! :D

Sergio Aguero to face elbow verdict on Tuesday and could miss Manchester derby through injury

Manchester City are hopeful Sergio Aguero will escape punishment for elbowing West Ham defender Winston Reid, but the striker could still miss the Manchester derby after pulling out of Argentina's upcoming World Cup qualifiers with a calf injury.

The 28 year-old is in danger of facing disciplinary action after appearing to catch Reid while the two of them competed for a ball in the latter stages of City's 3-1 victory on Sunday.

But television replays appeared to show referee Andre Marriner was looking at the incident. If the official saw the clash and did not feel as though Aguero deserved a red card, the Football Association are powerless to act, even though Reid was forced off with a throat injury after he was hit by Aguero’s elbow.

Although an announcement from the FA would have normally come on Monday, the Bank Holiday weekend has delayed things and City will have to wait another 24 hours to learn Aguero’s fate.

Should Aguero escape a suspension it will be a big let off for the Argentinean, although he could still miss the mouth-watering Manchester derby with United on September 10th due to his calf injury.

The problem is severe enough for Aguero to pull out of international duty and he will miss Argentina’s World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Venezuela, and City manager Pep Guardiola will be concerned about his star striker.

Aguero has been plagued by calf and hamstring problems during his time in England and City will not want to lose their top goalscorer ahead of the United game.

The two rivals will meet for the first time since Guardiola became City manager and Jose Mourinho arrived at Manchester United in a lunch time kick-off at Old Trafford, having both won their first three Premier League fixtures at their new clubs.

Take a moment to see Tony Book's presentation on the tunnelcam for the WHU game on the City website at 9mins 30secs...nice to see summerbee, king colin, tommy booth, peter barnes, joe corrigan.

I remember the day Colin Bell signing for City from Bury,a great servant for you and Uniteds loss as they wanted him also, his reasoning for choosing City over United was that he felt he was not up to the level to catch United,s side at that time and plumped for the easier option

Hart to Torino is a strange one. Not sure what the attraction of Torino or Turin is. "Torino, who finished 12th in Serie A last season and who are seventh after two games of the new campaign". Haven't checked but assume they're not in a European competition.

BB

Maybe a "strange one" to you but a shrewd move by Joe......look at it from his point of view.....if Pep doesn,t come up with the gongs this season he will be dumped :( and Joe can return with a smile on his face

Stevie (slob) Bruce is on standby

Very quiet on the Citeh forum regarding this incident  if it was Fellaini there would be a couple of pages of tripe about it.

Sorry I take that back,as there are only 2 or 3 Citeh fans on here its only to be expected.

Hang the bugger I say :clap2:

Well he definately threw his elbow. Not any mitigation but it really is unlike Sergio to do that, so wonder what happened to make him do it. There was also  minimal (if any) contact as the other player managed to complete his header before dropping like a sack of ####

Hopefully he will get off on a technicality

Amazing the confidence you were given by a late goal against a managerless, injury ravaged team that has made no investment whatsoever.

Bob

Your thoughts and comments are always welcome....:wai:

^^^Three of our kids played Wednesday. I expect to see them and others feature in the domestic cups mainly as Pep, unlike Pellegrini, has clearly taken a fancy to some of our kids.

Noticed ManUs famed academy players are getting less of a look in under Maureen. ..no surprise there eh.

Yeah, we looked a totally different team on sunday than when we were under Pellegrini and yet it is vertually the same team. Stones has played almost all of the games and is looking like a really good buy. Nolito hasn't started all the games but looks really effective when he plays. As for the rest of the team Pep inherited, he has got them leaner, meaner and working much harder. It will be interesting to see what Gundogan and Sarne can bring.

Wobbly Willy was to blame for West Hams goal. He had absolutely no command of his area, so hopefully Bravo will make a difference. Particularly to my nerves.

^Can never get this quote function to work!

Agree with it being Wobblys fault (Otamendi and Clichy didn't help).

So its five games with last season's squad, plus a few kids and news signings Stones and Nolito who have both settled well and contributed.

"Gabriel Jesus and Marlos Moreno are still in South America, and Claudio Bravo has only just been signed, while Leroy Sane and Ilkay Gundogan are still injure" but getting close (as is Kompany)..."Guardiola has regenerated and revitalized guys who looked spent (Pablo Zabaleta, Gael Clichy, Aleksandar Kolarov) or lost (Raheem Sterling) last season." Silva also looks totally fit and up for it - almost everything at the weekend came through him (seems to link really well with nolito). We're still waiting for KdB to get back to his levels.

Don't think any retrospective action was taken for these incidents

I,m glad you have put these up as it can be plainly seen what a misaligned player Felaini is,the first two pics clearly show his eyes are on the ball so-no foul is committed -in the third one however Huth,s clearly yanked at his hair in the first place bringing about  a perfectly normal and natural reaction-what would you have done in the same situation?

Retrospective action WAS taken in the Huth incident as both got a 3 game ban at the end of last season.

Now then BoJ come on admit it,you have cocked up on this one :clap2:

That's not an elbow Wilai. It was just a typical strikers challenge :D

Seriously though, come on you have had to go back 3 and half years to find another incident from Sergio.
