A few weeks ago a Thai TV news channel reported that the Mae Sot border crossing was closed due to skirmishes near to Myawaddy. I've not seen or heard anymore of it since, so was wondering if it was open or not.

Anyone crossed there lately?

I would like to refresh the previous post, I wish to travel to the border crossing at Mae Sot, has anybody been there recently?

By all reports the border is open as usual.

(It was a long time back that the border was temporarily closed).
