On average, there are more than 15 Britons killed abroad every day of the year. The fact that the British Police and Politicians have considered this case worthy of close inspection would suggest a level of unease with local investigative powers and outcomes. The British Police may not be in a position to conduct in-depth, local investigations of their own, but the threat of their independant report being revealed to a worldwide audience, is bound to exert some pressure on local authorities as to the rigour of their investigation.
The UK police will give the report to the FCO. The FCO won't do more than make a statement regarding if they are satisfied or disappointed.
Which you claim the FCO has already done...
Nope.

The FCO has made three public statements regarding the scope of the UK police' job is to observe.

You pretty good at spinning lies but no surprise there.

Mon is guilty of being on a roped off crime scene with no authority or reason to be there. He should be questioned as to why he was there.

How do you know the police officers didn't call him to come? His family own the nearby resort and bars. Maybe they telephoned him, or saw him at the tape and called him over, to see if he could ID the victims.

You actually have no idea why he was there, nor does anyone.

However, by allowing a suspect/relative of prime suspect onto the crime scene, ... Anyone can complete the sentence, it goes without saying.

He was not any kind of suspect at the time. Nor when he was one did he remain one long until he was cleared.

Except he was never properly cleared.

The British may have no authority in Thailand, but when did Thai Village Head men have the authority to obstruct law and order? is that part of the new Junta Constitution?

How did he obstruct law and order? What I read is he met with police and he and his brother gave DNA samples and were cooperative with police as was the son who turned out to be in Bangkok when the murders occurred.

Not seeing it as it is really bad quality and the back of one Asian;s head pretty much looking like any other beyond clothing ...besides already determined it was not him in the video and already determined he was in Bangkok and absolutely no reason to believe he committed this crime and no reason to believe his family can control an entire police force in such a highly publicized case and one under such a microscope. Not to mention they got the two guys whose dna matched the crime scene and were confirmed to actually not just be on the island but around the crime scene around the time of the crime.

The relentless posting in defence of the police by JTJ, jdinasia and Baerboxer is extraordinary to say the least. So much that they cannot simply be dismissed as trolls. Why on earth would these people spend so much time defending the RTP case, when practically everyone else who has objectively considered this believes the case is corrupt. Not one person (farang or Thai) I have spoken to believes the Burmese boys carried out the crime. I can only assume these guys have a vested interest in the outcome.

Then you assume wrong, as in your assumption that what most posters post must become fact.

I want to see justice, real justice. I want the despicable low live scum that did this identified, arrested, prosecuted and when found guilty to receive the harshest punishment under law.

I doubt that will happen, given all the mishandling and contradictions that have occurred.

However, a trial by social media, with conspiracy theorists entering more 'facts", deciding who must have done it, decide on the way it was done, whose being covering up etc etc is not only stupid and silly is downright dangerous.

How do you think the Salem witch trials started and resulted in many innocent deaths? Some on here are trolling for sure, usually winding up those who are supporters of the "we know who did it, CSI LA told us brigade".

None of this rhetoric will influence the British Police. They are too professional. I eagerly await their report, which may divulge facts that are currently unknown, such as comments from the victims' friends about what happened that night.

I really hope real justice is served in this case.

Exactly, never cleared, not according to the prosecution, the police or the facts... News flash, RTP report WAIT... that report is now being contradicted by WAIT... that report is now being contradicted by... The UK is very satisfied with the investigation and has called our man in the UK to congratulate him... The report is now complete and perfect and returned AGAIN to the police... This photograph an this phone, no wait this phone, no wait that was a misinterpretation...

And still, nothing indicates that the original suspects were cleared by any evidence that is not in question by the international news media and reasonable people around the world.

Its amazing to think how lightly this Mon character has gotten off with all this photographic evidence about. I mean on a roped off crime scene, chasing people into mini marts and threatening them and of course the rumours of an altercation in his own bar with David and Hannah. To be honest I haven't really read any good reason he is not prime suspect number 1.

You would have to say by his own actions he does seem connected up to his eyeballs in all of this. Does he own a gun by any chance. Anybody heard what his alibi was on the night of the murder. Very very strange to be chasing people around the island with an off duty cop. Why would he be doing such a thing. Anybody know this Mons whereabouts at present.

1. Who says it's actually an offence to cross a police tape in Thailand? Who says the police didn't invite him to see if he could ID the victims for them as his family own the nearby resort and bars.

2. You choose to believe McAnna's initial fb comments. Some of which he has subsequently changed to change and clarrify the meanings. He is a convicted pedophile who may also have issues with alcohol and drugs. No one knows what he was up to and if these men really were chasing him and if so what for. Just his initial babble followed by a few corrections followed by silence.

3. "Rumors" of an altercation. Do you understand the word rumor. Spread by who, corroborated by who? The victim's friends, others in the bar that night, farang and Thai, have not commented on this. Don't you think that might indicate the validity of this "rumor"?

So no, I can't see where he's got off light.

Mr.Ware was a suspect "with lots of evidence", then the son and relatives of the headman, with evidence so strong they would be arrested in a couple of days, then the 2 Burmese on the strength of DNA evidence and confessions. The police have now decided to go with the latter. Up to the judge now.

Mr Ware's "with lots of evidence" evidence planted by the police you mean. Apart from that, he a burn to his hand which the police checked out and said it happened days before.

Ref 1. Why would anyone think it amiss to invite the suspect/prime suspect's uncle to visit the crime scene. Perfectly normal, if you are a crooked cop or a member of the keystone cops troop that is.

Points 2-3 just waste forum space.

Umm point 1

He wasn't a suspect.

Point 1 - he's wrong but won't admit it. Prefers his version.

Points 2 and 3 - seems to complicated for him to grasp. Easier to dismiss them.

What, a family member escorting around the fellows from Scotland Yard. I say, this family just can't seem to stay out of it. Very unusual. Come come you say the wife of debt collecting police officer has been asking people to stay off forums... Why in lords name would she be doing that... That seems very odd.

Now here on TV we have 24/7 trolls. I tell you, this all adds up to something you know. Quite a remarkable set of circumstances. Simply remarkable.

What can one possibly make of all this.

search some other forums it's all there along with photo's...they don't lie. You may see how this was made public and not rumor.

Or, has been released.

That exists. Public statement to cause of death with the knowledge that the UK will have an inquest.

Anyone know who the UK officers are, their rank, what department they come from and what previous experience they have of dealing with investigations overseas? I do hope they've sent over officers who have actually had practical hands-on experience, not senior ranked pen-pushers on a jolly.

The time of the crime scene photos there were no suspects. Then it was farang. Things didn't shift until later. Then were quickly changed again. Why? Suspects were ruled out.

Conspiracy theorists are not reasonable people.

What uninformed gibberish.

Flat out nonsense.

On the contrary, divisive myopic thinking is much more unreasonable and dangerous.

Evidently, you have no idea of the meaning of the term.

Conspiracy theory:

A conspiracy theory is an explanatory proposition that accuses two or more persons, a group,

or an organization of having caused or covered up, through secret planning and deliberate action, an illegal or harmful event or situation.

Conspiracies happen every day, all day, everywhere.

I get the feeling you just like to hear yourself talk.

Nothing to contribute.

Nothing ever to back you conjecture.

Just sniping away…

Do you understand irony? Why do you think I put that comment in parenthesis?

The police claimed, without any evidence that Mr.Ware was involved. Homosexual jealous frenzy they said. They made this without a shred of real evidence.

Then it was the Mon, his nephew, relatives - arrest imminent, with real evidence they said. Then they changed their minds again.

Don't forget the footballers, speedboat driver and Rhohinga theories various members of the police trotted out.

Then all of a sudden, they had the "perfect investigation" and should be applauded.

The whole think stinks of inept, disorganized chaos. Add to that the possibility of corruption which sadly is not uncommon in murder investigations here and the whole thing is a buggers muddle.

I have no interest in defending anyone. But the idea of a trial of anyone, by social media, fueled by anonymous facebook pages, rumor and conjecture is abhorrent. Its how witch hunts start.

I bid you good evening my fellow posters. If you chaps turn out to be right, JD, JTJ, I will certainly owe you great apologies.

At the moment pissing all over this forum just seems pointless.

I wish you good evening too.

NSY has probably combed through ThaiVisa reports and comments to get the big picture. They will have more suspects than the RTP I think.

Why would they even look at this site?

555555 thanx for the laugh. get real.

No. Really, why would they? Nothing original here. They could cut out the random chat by looking at the insane conspiracy theory sites. Why would they look here?

because professional homicide detectives look at EVERYTHING and analyze EVERYTHING. they rule nothing out.
