Hi, sawatdee khrap

I will arrive by a Qatar flight on tuesday 26th of september 2006 at about 8 pm

I would like to know if I have enough time to go to Mo Chit and take the last night bus to Udon Thani (10 pm) ?

I think it will be a little bit short....

And U ?

Thanks in advance

You might just make it...............depends on how long it takes you to clear the airport.

If you land on time and work on an hour to get off the plane , clear immigration and pick your baggage up then 30 mins to Mor Chit that time of night would be a fair assessment.

Providing there is an empty seat on the last bus

you should be just about ok.

a very tight schedule, me thinks, even if your flight arrives in time..... its not the distance from Don Muang do MorChit that can cause problems, but immigration, collecting luggage and all that..... and end of September they move the entire airpost system to Suvannaphum airport, so this can cause another confusion and delay at Don Muang....

Hi beautifull bird,

I landed Dong Muang on Qatar from Doha 25th july at +- 20.00 9 (15 minutes late, left Doha on time) and picked up my luggage and was at taxi stand around 20.30, real fast, no waiting lines at immigration, had to wait 5 minutes for luggage. It should be ok to get at Mo Chit by 21.00.

Arriving 26th September? Doesn't the new airport open 28th sept? Then you're lucky :o

Hiya N. K.

Seems like your running a tight schedule and could possibly miss your bus for several reasons, including the last schedule already fully booked.

Is it so important for the sake of a few hours.

Why not stay and relax in a hotel near to Morchit then try for one the next day, with the assurance of geting a seat.

Someone on T.Visa should know a reasonable place to chill out.

You could also spend a couple of days down town before going up country, even get your special person to meet you there, if you have one.

Stay cool and enjoy the rest of your life either way and watch the personal belongings if you are rushing around.

Consider taking the train to Udon, which stops at the airport train station about 9:30.

Airport to Mochit at 8pm is about 30 mins.

get your taxi upstairs at departures. will cost 110 baht.

There are about 3 different companies running buses to Udon and little chance of you not being able to get fixed up.

9.30 ? pm or am the next day?

Thanks for all the answer!

If I cannot have the last bus at 9.30 pm for Nong Khai or the last one at 10 pm for Udon Thani, somebody said I can wait in a hotel near Mo Chit;

Do you have some address?

About staying two more days in Bangkok....No thank you; it's not the first time I'm going to Thailand and I don't like huge towns especially Bangkok.

I hope my flight will arrive at the good time and I can go outside to the taxi in less than 45 minutes/1 hour maxi..

After that, I say to me Good Luck and thanks again to all of U.

'er indoors just check on t'internet.

6 companies running buses to Udon last one leaves at 11 pm

My guess is that OP is hoping to catch the "999 VIP (24-seat) bus" to Udon Thani, which is once a day service departing Mo Chit at 22:00? AFAIK tickets can only be purchased on the day of travel. Many people purchase VIP bus tickets early in the day, in order to insure a seat on the bus that evening. Depending on the day of travel there may well be empty/available seats.

The 999/VIP ticket window is on the upper level, immediately on the right as you enter, a small grouping of ticket booths in the front of the building, opposite the long, long bank of ticket booths, along the back of the concourse.

As mentioned there is an express train (#69, first, second and third class services) departs Hua Lamphong at 21:00, stops at Don Maung/BKK at 21:32, arrives Udon Thani 06:09 (+1 day) and terminates at Nong Khai at 08:55.

Thank you to everybody;

I think the best (for me) is to go to Nong Khai by train;

I forgot the train station is just 5 minutes Don Muang airport and didn't knew about the schedules about night trains.

I will have enough time to change some money in the airport and cross the motorway by the footbridge

Thanks again,

Regards to everybody who answered to me
