Payroll & Tax deduction

Featured Replies

Dear all,

I just started working in Thailand so I have few questions. My company is small so don't have HR dept. all they made by agent so no one knows clearly about law.

Please help me if you know because I searched but don't know clearly.

My basic salary is 15k THB + benifit 15k THB = total 30k THB/month

1. Every month will I pay 5% of basic salary for social & medical ?

I searched the Personal Income Tax. My income is in the second range "150,001 - 500,000" / year tax rate is: 10%

2. It means I will be deducted about 36k THB/year ?

In my country (Asia), if your income is in the range of paying tax, they will deduct the percentage of income over the minimum range. Not deduct all income. That's why I confuse.

Anyone who knows this, pls kindly advise me.

Thanks a lot.

Your tax rate will be 5% not 10.

The first 150k baht is not taxable so that makes your taxable income 210k minus 60k baht personal tax deduction would be 150k taxable so roughly 7,500 baht tax to be paid.

Do you know how I can register parents dependent even they don't stay in Thailand? And what is the policy?

Thanks a lot.

That is only if your parents are here and you were supporting them. It is truly only meant to be for Thais.
