mesquite
For years we could apply for extension 30 days before expiration. I am reading that now that we can apply 45 days before expiration. Does anyone have recent experience with this at CM Immigration?

purushanti
My reply is somewhat off topic, because my recent experience is not with Immigration, but with an agent, who suggested that 45 days requires a special reason for early processing, and best to have a ticket showing you will be out of town; other wise 30days. In all fairness, this is the same agent who suggests that the 2013 declaration by Immigration, (on paper, in Thai and English, somewhere here at t-v), that embassy Letters of Verification of Income are good for 6 months----that this understanding is questionable. The agent plans to resolve doubts over that one with Immigration soon.

NancyL
I did mine in January and yes it was 44 days before the expiration of my extension. I went out and joined the queue at 8:45 am, after the morning document check had started, not really expecting to get a queue number and thinking they might turn me away because it was there 44 days early (rather than 30), but much to my surprise I got a queue number. northernjohn
in reply to query, income letters are valid for 6 months. Just to double check on that as it would save me getting 2 this year. Have you any experience or personal friends who have done this? Makes sense as retirement incomes are for life in most cases.
